Connecting Via RDP
Linux
For RDP connections, you have several client options at your disposal:
- Remmina
- KRDS
- Freerdp2-x11
Among these, freerdp2-x11 is unique in its ability to handle multiple monitors.
To establish an RDP connection that spans several screens, follow the steps below:
Setting up freerdp2-x11 on DaDesktop Private Node (ddpn)
sudo apt install freerdp2-x11
Initiating a Connection to Your Work Desktop
xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:zh4cn.npg.io:16666
Ending Your Session
CTRL+ALT+Enter
or
Windows Start Menu > Log Off -> Disconnect
Redirecting Sound and Microphone
xfreerdp /multimon /u:dadesktop/v:zh4cn.npg.io:16666 /microphone:sys:alsa /sound:sys:alsa
