Pricing

There are four ways you can pay for DaDesktop:

1. Public cloud (from 3 EUR per day)
2. Private server (from 10 EUR per day)
3. Reseller or volume purchasing (from 0.1 EUR per day)
4. On premise
    

Public Cloud

Desktops are charged daily, starting at 3 EUR per day for a basic Linux desktop with 8GB of RAM, an 8-core CPU, and 50GB of SSD storage.

Each additional 8GB of RAM, 8 CPU cores, and 50GB of storage costs an extra 3 EUR.

Windows machines add an extra 1 EUR per day. If you bring your own license, this fee is waived.

NB The daily charge for machines applies within a 24-hour window beginning at midnight, based on the local server time.

 

Private Server

If you prefer fixed costs regardless of how many desktops you run or the resources assigned to a single desktop, you can purchase an entire server.

In this setup, your only limit is the server’s resources, not the number of desktops or units.

Reseller or volume discounts

Discounts of up to 80% are available for reseller and volume purchases.

This scenario typically suits companies looking to:

1. Integrate DaDesktop with your product
2. Resell it
3. Purchase in high volumes 
    

On-premise

The standard price for on-premise deployment is 6 EUR per core.

Case 1

A person uses an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB of storage for 8 hours on one day. 

Total price: 3 EUR

Case 2

A person uses an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB of storage for a couple of hours each day over 5 days. 

Total price: 5 days * 3 EUR = 15 EUR

Case 3

1. A person uses an Ubuntu desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB of storage for 1 hour
2. The desktop is then deleted
3. Another desktop with the same configuration is created on the same day and used for 1 hour

Total price: 3 EUR

Case 4

1. A person uses an Ubuntu standalone desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB of storage for 1 hour
2. The desktop is then deleted
3. Another desktop with 16GB RAM, 16 CPUs, and 100GB storage is created on the same day and used for 1 hour

Two machines are used, with differing configurations:

Machine 1 = 3 EUR

Machine 2 = 6 EUR

Total price: 3 + 6 = 9 EUR

1. A person uses an Ubuntu course desktop with 8GB RAM, 8 CPUs, and 50GB of storage for 1 hour
2. The desktop is then deleted
3. Another desktop is created by the same participant or trainer with 16GB RAM, 16 CPUs, and 100GB storage on the same day and used for 1 hour

Total price: 6 EUR 

 

Courses

For Public Cloud and Reseller options, courses are billed to the Organization Owner based on the users who created desktops throughout the course’s duration.

Trainers

• If a Trainer is invited to the course, the Organization Owner is billed for it.
• If the Trainer creates the course, then the Trainer is the one billed.

• To sum up, the Organization Owner associated with the course that was created receives the bill.
