DaDesktop

Roadmap

Training roadmap for DaDesktop

  1. Training materials organization - Improved alignment with instructor materials, participant notes, and slide decks, among other things.
  2. Auto Upscaling Desktop - If a participant's or trainer's desktop runs low on resources, the system will automatically add more CPU, RAM, or disk space without interrupting the session.
  3. Real time subtitles with translations - For instance, an English-speaking trainer can deliver a course to Japanese attendees, who will see live Japanese subtitles (accessible to those who have opted into 'Preview features').
  4. Real time interpretation with AI - Japanese learners can hear a live Japanese voiceover, even when the trainer is speaking English.
  5. Participant assistant -  During labs, the system provides guidance by suggesting the next step or alerting users to mistakes, delivering quicker feedback when they get stuck. Also known as the Participant Assistant Agent (available in Preview features).
  6. Statistics - Course coordinators and stakeholders can monitor attendee engagement.

DaDesktop for Work (DD4W)

  1. Public Cloud - Currently, DaDesktop for Work is only offered as a private deployment. The goal is to launch DD4W as a public cloud service in Germany.
  2. Better encryption integration - At the moment, encryption can only be configured at the OS level. Integrating it directly into DaDesktop, with a graphical interface, would streamline the process (for example, users wouldn't need to enter a password on the machine since the system already recognizes them).
  3. Auto-switch Remote replica - The system will automatically spin up or locate the nearest remote replica to reduce latency and enhance the user experience.

DaDesktop Labs & Self-Study

  1. The system provides feedback on the user's progress throughout the lab.
  2. Creator Studio - lab authors can conveniently edit recordings online and align them with lab guides, desktop templates, and other materials (currently available in Beta).
