Creating Organisations
When you register, a personal organisation is normally set up for you, and it takes the same name as your username.
There are times, though, when creating a brand new organisation makes sense. For instance, a company might want a single space where several people can use DaDesktop under one umbrella.
NB: Only a Super Admin can create an organisation.

Creating Organisations in DaDesktop
You can set up an organisation in two ways. The standard approach creates an owner account for the organisation at the same time. The alternative skips this step, which is handy when the owner account already exists.
Creating an Organisation and an Owner Account Together
- You will need the account owner's email address, a password, and their first and last names. Assign the relevant roles as needed. The currency is decided by the portal you are using - dadesktop.com defaults to EUR, while dadesktop.cn will specify CNY.
- An Organisation name and a code are also required. Keep the code brief, because once it is saved it cannot be altered later.
- The options for Allowing course recordings and publishing them are applied to ALL recordings within the organisation. The same goes for the Receiving Promotional Emails setting. Whatever you choose here will be set for the entire organisation.
- 'Allow Recordings' controls whether Recordings are available across the whole organisation.
- You can assign Private servers if needed. Bear in mind, a server must first be marked 'Private' before it appears here for selection.
